Rain brings temperature down in Delhi by 3 degrees

New Delhi: After a brief lull in the monsoon season, heavy rains in several parts of the national capital on Tuesday, brought down the mercury, providing major relief from the sultry weather to residents here. Tuesday's rain brought relief to Delhites who had been expecting rains since many days in this monsoon season. Rain showers, which followed a heavily overcast sky, brought down the mercury by a few degrees from the maximum of 36.3 Degree Celsius on Monday to 33 degrees. The rain showers also caused water logging and traffic jams in several parts of Delhi. The city experienced monsoon showers on June 30 but the rains almost dodged the national capital after that. Meanwhile, weathermen has forecasted a generally cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with one or two spells of rain and thundershowers.
