South India Jewellery Show 2007 to begin in Bangalore

Bangalore: The South India Jewellery Show-2007 (SIJS) will begin here today to provide a platform to facilitate closer interaction between the retailers and the manufacturers. This expo will be a high-end jewellery event with emphasis on latest designs, trends and technology. It will provide for a two- way traffic for business expansion. This business-to-business exhibition is an attempt to address that long felt need in Karnataka, to bring the retail trade closer to various manufacturers of jewellery. This show promises to be the ideal forum for the jewellery fraternity to enhance their business and knowledge base. The show will offer an opportunity for the retailers to directly source from the manufacturers, thereby eliminating intermediaries. This event also allows for close interaction between manufacturing, wholesale and retail segments, thereby increasing profitability. In addition, it will provide a chance to make new business connections, tie-ups, and trade partnerships. Considering the growing need to provide retail trade with products with varying price points and designs, and dearth of supply chain and logistics, 'The Art of Jewellery' magazine, in association with World Gold Council (WGC) and Gitanjali Group will be organising the show in support with the All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation. Manufacturers from Mumbai, Jaipur, Delhi, Junagadh, Meerut, Kolkata, Thrissur, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai will showcase a wide spectrum of jewellery under one roof. An exhibition on jewellery, gems and allied products will close on February 18.
