after successful heart surgery

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh returning home on Sunday after successful bypass surgery at the AIIMS in New Delhi

     New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Sunday morning. He left for his home at about 7.45 am, accompanied by his wife Gursharan Kaur. Dr Singh was seen off by doctors who performed the redo coronary bypass surgery on him and those who attended to him post-surgery at the AIIMS. Before leaving, the Prime Minister thanked the doctors for the excellent care he had received during his stay at the hospital. He also thanked all other staff at the hospital for their caring services. Dr. Singh’s health will continue to be monitored by doctors during the coming weeks. He has been advised to continue to increase his diet and step up his physical activities. Dr. Singh expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the warm wishes he has received from people across the country for his speedy recovery.
