One more Pak Minister succumbs to coronavirus

The epidemic has claimed 3,229 lives in Pakistan, which was comparatively unaffected by the pandemic till recently. The total number of confirmed corona cases so far has gone up to 1,65,062.

ISLAMABAD, June 19: Pakistan has now come up on the corona map. In the last 24 hours, there were 136 casualties, the toll reaching 3,229. The total number of cases so far is 1,65,062 of which 4,944 were of last one day.

Minister for Agriculture in Gilgit-Baltistan, Janbaz Khan (64), who had been on vantilator for four days, died of coronavirus on Thursday. Khan was five-time lawmaker.

Earlier, last month, a Provincial Minister died due to coronavirus in southern Sindh province. Sindh Minister for Human Settlement Ghulam Murtaza Baloch had tested positive for coronavirus on May 14.

Pakistan’s Information Technology and Telecommunications Minister Syed Aminul Haq tested positive on Tuesday. Sindh’s Minister For Women Development Syeda Shehla Raza also tested positive the next day.
