Dead bodies swapped and cremated: Ludhiana docs in the dock! | |

LUDHIANA, Jan 6: A private hospital in Ludhiana mixed up bodies of two women in its mortuary last month. The family of Manju Diwan of Tagore Nagar cremated the wrong body they got. When the mix-up came to light, the family was handed over Manju’s real body and the second cremation too was conducted subsequently. But the family of Jasbir Kaur Sandhu of Moga, whose body was mistakenly handed over and cremated by the Diwan family earlier, refused to accept the ashes without DNA profiling.The police have named four doctors of the hospital as accused in the FIR filed by Jasbir Kaur Sandhu's family in the body swapping case.
