Russian tourist found dead in Kasol hotel; drug overdose suspected

SHIMLA, Jun 13: A 29-year-old Russian tourist, identified as Daria Kuzminykh, was found dead in her hotel room under mysterious circumstances in the washroom of a homestay in Kasol, a popular tourist hamlet in the Parvati Valley of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh, under Manikaran police station, on Thursday. Her companion, a Belarusian national, found her unconscious and alerted the homestay caretaker. She was tragically declared dead before medical assistance could arrive.
Another report refers to a growing drug culture in Himachal.
The Russian here has been described as DJ artist Dishaleen, who reportedly came to perform at a rave party held in Kasol from June 7 to June 11. The report says she died of drug overdose.
