PATHANAMTHITTA (Kerala), Jul 10: A 75-year-old retired Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) employee, Mathukutty, died tragically on Wednesday after his head was stuck in his custom-made lift to his hilltop residence—elevated from the roadside by 20 feet/30 steps—in Kallelimukku, near Kadammanitta in Pathanamthitta district. Upon hearing the man's screams, his wife came running with a machete but that did not help and he died there itself. The specially built lift was installed two years ago just for the couple and it had been working alright.
