Bengaluru's wellknown snake rescuer Mohammed Anees dies at 55

BENGALURU, Jul 1: Renowned Bengaluru wildlife and snake rescuer Mohammed Anees, widely known as "Snake Anees," passed away at a private hospital on Tuesday at the age of 55. He succumbed to complications from pneumonia and severe breathlessness. Over a span of four decades, he safely rescued and relocated thousands of snakes across the city.
Known for his calm demeanor and pioneering conservation efforts, Anees operated primarily across Bengaluru and was highly respected among wildlife circles for safely releasing the animals into suitable habitats, largely around the Bannerghatta National Park.
