DARJEELING, June 17: At least eight people were killed when a goods train collided with a passenger train in Bengal's Darjeeling district on Monday morning. Thirty people were also injured. The toll is likely to go up.

The accident occurred when the goods train rammed the 13174 Kanchanjunga Express from behind at Rangapani near the New Jalpaiguri railway station on the line connecting the Northeast to the rest of India through the Siliguri Corridor (Chicken's Neck).
