(covid) reported in India in the past 24 hours was 1,324, pushing up the total
number of cases so far to 16,116. There have been a total of 519 deaths. According
to Government figures, there are 54 districts in 23 States which have not reported
a single case of covid in the last 14 days.
The worst affected State continues to be Maharashtra with total number of
cases at 3,651 and total casualties 211. Within the State, Mumbai is the worst

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray anounced today that the industries
in yellow and green zones are allowed to resume operations.
Delhi, the second worst-hit State by the coronavirus (covid) pandemic, has
so far registered a total of 1,893 cases with 43 people perishing. Chief Minister
Arvind Kejriwal has announced that there will not be any relaxations in the
lockdown restrictions as the pandemic is spreading rapidly, although there is
no reason to be panicky.
The 186 new cases found were asymptomatic and this is worrisome as those looking
healthy and moving around may be carrying the virus and they can infect others
without themselves showing any symptoms. He said the sample tests will be scaled
up through rapid tests. As of now lockdown is essential. The situation will
be reviewed after a week on April 27. Till then no e-commerce will be allowed.
The Ministry of Home Affairs also issued an amended order on Sunday withdrawing
the permission for e-commerce in the country.
