Delhi L-G office sealed for sanitation as assistant tests corona positive
In Bhopal, six residents on the Madhya Pradesh Raj Bhavan campus have tested positive for coronavirus and the area has been put on the list of 'containment zones.'

NEW DELHI, May 27: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal's office has been sealed for disinfection after an assistant tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday.

The assistant was working in a building close to Raj Niwas, the LG's office., in Old Delhi. Forty staff working in the offices will undergo tests.

Three civic employees of the NDMC main office in Central Delhi also have contracted coronavirus. Some sections of the buiding have been sealed. The employees will work from home till the contact tracing and sanitation are done.

Till Wednesday Delhi reported 14,465 covid cases and 288 deaths.

The Railway Ministry was shut for two days as four employees, one after other, caught corona infection a few days ago.

MP's Raj Bhavan campus declared 'containment zone'

BHOPAL: The Raj Bhavan staff quarters here was on Wednesday declared as a 'containment zone' after six residents, including some employees, tested positive for coronavirus.

The Governor has tested negative for the illness, according to officials. More tests will be conducted in the staff quarters, the health department said. The area has been sanitised. Bhopal has so far reported 1,323 positive cases and 49 deaths due to coronavirus.

Fine for not wearing mask, spitting in public places

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government will impose a fine of Rs 500 on those not wearing face masks or spitting in public places. Making the announcement, Health Minister Anil Vij said doctors and SHOs have been empowered to slap the fine on the violators of the rule.

Haryana has reported 1,305 cases and 17 deaths due to coronavirus till Wednesday.
