NEW DELHI, May 30: Heavy traffic jam was seen at Delhi-Gurugram crossing as
the border was closed and only essential services personnel with passes and
i-cards were allowed to come in or go out. Haryana had sealed the borders with
Delhi on the plea that the corona count is mounting in the State because of
people coming in from Delhi.
Meanwhile, as a result of a costly oversight, an Air India plane flying to
Moscow to repatriate Indians was called back to Delhi as the test done on the
pilot declared as negative before departure was later discoverd to be positive.
By the time the plane, Airbus A-320 Neo, was over Uzbekistan. It returned around
noon on Saturday.
At the AIIMS Delhi, 9 more healthcare workers and two resident doctors have
tested positive for coronavirus, taking the total number of hospital staff infected
to 206.
In Bhopal, samples of three more people living inside Raj Bhavan in Madhya
Pradesh have returned positive for novel coronavirus, taking the total number
of positive cases among its residents to 10.
After two months of shutdown, the railways will resume normal services from
June 1. The booking had started on May 21 for 200 non-AC trains which will run
daily, in addition to the Shramik specials and the specials for stranded people
already running.
The Government has issued strict guidelines for the passengers to follow in
view of the coronavirus epidemic. Only those with confirmed tickets will be
allowed to enter the station, everyone must wear mask and will be thermal-screened,
only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board the train, social distancing
to be maintained, at destination station the health protocols of the local Government
will have to be followed.
