Coronavirus UPDATES: Trains will resume journey on Monday under strict guidelines

Nine more healthcare workers and two resident doctors have tested positive for coronavirus at the AIIMS Delhi, the total there going up to 206.

NEW DELHI, May 30: Heavy traffic jam was seen at Delhi-Gurugram crossing as the border was closed and only essential services personnel with passes and i-cards were allowed to come in or go out. Haryana had sealed the borders with Delhi on the plea that the corona count is mounting in the State because of people coming in from Delhi.

Meanwhile, as a result of a costly oversight, an Air India plane flying to Moscow to repatriate Indians was called back to Delhi as the test done on the pilot declared as negative before departure was later discoverd to be positive. By the time the plane, Airbus A-320 Neo, was over Uzbekistan. It returned around noon on Saturday.

At the AIIMS Delhi, 9 more healthcare workers and two resident doctors have tested positive for coronavirus, taking the total number of hospital staff infected to 206.

In Bhopal, samples of three more people living inside Raj Bhavan in Madhya Pradesh have returned positive for novel coronavirus, taking the total number of positive cases among its residents to 10.

After two months of shutdown, the railways will resume normal services from June 1. The booking had started on May 21 for 200 non-AC trains which will run daily, in addition to the Shramik specials and the specials for stranded people already running.

The Government has issued strict guidelines for the passengers to follow in view of the coronavirus epidemic. Only those with confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter the station, everyone must wear mask and will be thermal-screened, only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board the train, social distancing to be maintained, at destination station the health protocols of the local Government will have to be followed.
