The airline has launched the facility in order to help the passengers fly free during the current period of movement restrictions due to the epidemic.

NEW DELHI, June 19: Air Asia India airline has started a door-to-door baggage service called 'Fly Porter' for its flyers. Starting with Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, the airline will arrange to pick up luggage from the door- step and fly to the destination point.

The rollout has been limited to three destinations as the airline wants to test the acceptability of the service. Therefore, Mumbai will be included in the next round. The fee starts from Rs 500. The service includes an Rs 5,000 ($65.6) insurance policy to cover any damage to bags or the contents.

In the time of the running coronavirus epidemic, bags will be sanitized and packed in double-layered packing materials and pickups and deliveries will be contactless.
