Sourav brother CAB secy Snehasish hospitalised with covid

CAB president Avishek Dalmiya, BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly go into home quarantine as Sourav's brother is hospitalised with coronavirus. Snehasish had fever for the last few days. Both the brothers live in the same house. Sourav recently celebrated his 48th birthday with family.

KOLKATA, July 16: Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Avishek Dalmiya was on Thursday home quarantined after CAB secretary Snehasish Ganguly tested covid positive. The latter, who is the elder brother of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly, has been hospitalised.

"Yes, I would be undergoing home quarantine for the next few days as per the required protocol. During the meeting with police authorities at Lal Bazar, only I was present on behalf of the association. However, Snehasish Ganguly had joined during the later part of the brief visit at Eden Gardens," Dalmiya told newsmen.

Snehasish. 55, was diagnosed with the infection on Wednesday and was subsequently admitted to a city hospital at night. "Other than having mild temperature, he is alright at the moment. Wish him a speedy recovery," Dalmiya said.

Sourav Ganguly has also been home quarantined. Both the brothers live in the same house. Sourav recently celebrated his 48th birthday with family.

According to CAB sources, he had fever for the last few days and his test report came positive on Wednesday and was admitted to Belle Vue Hospital.
