Terrorists likely to disrupt Ram temple bhoomi puja, Ayodhya put under tight security

Same day, August 5, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is planned to address a special session of the PoK Assembly to mark the 'Black Day' of India's "constitutional terrorism." It is the anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution that had given special status to J&K.

AYODHYA, July 29: Ayodhya, where the bhoomi puja for the Ram temple is scheduled for August 5, has been put under tight security following Intelligence report that an attack is likely to be made by Pakistan's ISI-backed terror organisations to disrupt the function, which is likely to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top leaders of the ruling BJP.

According to reports, the ISI has asked Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-i- Mohammed to carry out the attacks.

Incidentally, the date coincides with the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution, which gave Jammu and Kashmir special status. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will attend a rally in Pak-occupied Kashmir on the day to protest against the repeal of the Article.

Top BJP leaders such as LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti and RSS leaders are expected to attend the function in Ayodhya.

The Ram Janmabhoomi site is cordoned off and door-to-door checking is also being done in the nearby residential areas. Drones will be deployed to monitor all movements in the area. Hotels and such other places are likely to be sealed.
