WASHINGTON, Oct16: California Sen Kamala Harris on Thursday halted her electioneering till Monday as two people of her campaign tested positive for coronavirus. They are a flight crew member and Harris' communications director, Liz Allen. But Harris is not going in quarantine.

Harris was not in close contact with either person, Biden campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon said in a statement. He said Harris has taken two PCR tests for coronavirus since October 8 and has tested negative.

A staff of the charter company that flies Biden also tested positive on Thursday. However, Biden is not stopping his campaign because he never had come in close contact with the infected person, not within 50 feet. The person was in the last row of the Boeing 737 airplane, more than 50 feet from Biden, on each flight.

The now infected two people were with Harris on a flight on October 8 the day after her debate with Vice President Mike Pence. "During the flight, Senator Harris wore an N95 mask, as did both individuals. She was not within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes with either of them," O'Malley Dillon said. Both before and after the flight Allen and the flight crew member tested negative.
