NEW DELHI, Oct 19: Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that Vande Bharat Mission Phase 7 will start from October 29. As per the schedule of the airline, Air India will operate 122 flights from October 29 till November 30.

The mission, which started on May 6, 2020, was launched to bring back stranded Indians from foreign countries after the suspension of international flights by most countries as coronavirus epidemic spread all over the world. India had closed its airports to inbound and outbound international flights on March 23 and is yet to reopen. Domestic flights in the country resumed operations from May 25 in a gradual manner.

"The mission to bring back stranded citizens began on 6 May 2020 and & is now poised to dovetail into Phase-7. More flights & air bubble arrangements are in place..." Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted. International travel of more than 28 lakh people has been facilitated so far, he said.

The Ministry of External Affairs has put out the list and schedule of Vande Bharat Mission Phase 7 flights. The Ministry says it is a dynamic list and is bound to undergo changes based on operational, technical and other considerations. All travellers are advised to counter-check with Air India for confirmation of the flights, timings, dates, destinations and other details. The flight schedule is posted at url: https://mea.gov.in/phase-7.htm

Indians coming to India by these flights will have to stay in institutional quarantine for seven days and then stay in their own house for seven days, following the Government of India's rules on prevention of coronavirus.
