GUWAHATI, Nov 26: Section 144 has been clamped on Borguri village in Assam’s Sonitpur district to save villagers from a tiger on the prowl in the periphery of the Kaziranga National Park.
According to forest officers, the tiger attacked two persons on Tuesday.
“No one without special permit of the magistrate shall go out in public or leave their houses until the forest department is able to restrain the tiger. The tiger on Tuesday attacked two people and has created panic among the villagers,” district magistrate Manvendra Pratap Singh told the Times of India.
The tiger has moved towards the Jia Bharali area close to the 9th addition to the Kaziranga National Park, according to reports. The forest department is trying to catch the tiger.
Ther are 121 tigers captured on camera in Kaziranga park.
