CHICAGO, Feb 6: One person was killed and several others were injured when an unidentified man went on a shooting spree inside a suburban hotel in the wee hours of Saturday.
The incident took place on the fifth floor of Indian Lakes Hotel in Bloomingdale at 2:35. The police on arrival found several people lying on the floor with wounds and they shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. One of the injured was declared dead. He was one James McGill Jr., 27, of Chicago, ABC reported.
The Bloomingdale Police Department and the DuPage County Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigation Team are investigating, reports said.
The five-story hotel with 300 rooms is located about 50 km west of downtown Chicago.
