al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden had planned attacks across India and several
other countries.
The revelation comes as the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks was observed
on Friday. Beyond the massive casualties, the catastrophic terror strike shattered
the complacent, previously fearless American psyche for all time to come. Caught
entirely unawares, the event carved a permanent, lasting impact into the history
of the United States.

President Clinton was warned on September 10, 1998
The presidential briefing (now released) materials map out a terrifyingly
predictive timeline:
The "Explosive Plane" Warning: As early as a September 10, 1998 memo,
briefers warned President Clinton's team that bin Laden’s network "may fly an
explosive-packed airplane into a US city" and that his preferred target was
Washington DC.
Weapons of Mass Destruction: The earliest brief in the cache, dated
February 13, 1998, is titled "Terrorists seeking WMD capability," explicitly
outlining bin Laden’s active hunt for chemical, biological, and radiological
materials.
The Post-9/11 Brief: Only one document in the release originates from after
the attacks, delivered to the White House at 4:00am on September 12, 2001. This
situation report noted that the plot was "widely known" among extremists in
Afghanistan and that the operational planning had been underway for at least
two years, with the US Capitol being an initial intended target.
Strategic failures exposed

What is a Presidential Daily Brief (PDB)
Often referred to as a presidential briefing, it is the most sensitive, highly
classified intelligence document produced by the United States Government. The
daily PDB is a top-secret intelligence summary delivered every morning exclusively
to the US President and a tiny circle of core Cabinet members about the day's
world situation. It synthesizes raw data from spies, satellite imagery, wiretaps,
and foreign allies into strategic analysis. It acts as an early-warning system,
alerting the Commander-in-Chief to imminent global threats, terror plots, and
geopolitical shifts.
The declassified Presidential Briefs should not be confused with the daily
PDB of the day/any day. They are two different things.
To mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the CIA authorized the single
largest public release of historical presidential briefing materials in US history
(relating pre-Bin Laden attacks).
What "The 2026 Declassification" means
PDBs are typically kept locked away forever due to the extreme danger of exposing
active intelligence methods. However, in September 2026, the US Government enacted
an initiative of "exceptional transparency". The CIA declassified 71 individual
briefing products spanning from 1998 to 2001.
It included a freshly unsealed 7,000-word comprehensive intelligence summary
originally compiled by the 9/11 Commission.
For the first time, the public can read the exact, granular text that Presidents
Bill Clinton and George W Bush read in the lead-up to 9/11—revealing precisely
how early the CIA was tracking Osama bin Laden's global target list (which included
the US Capitol, major American cities and India and others).
The present declassification is the original secret reports written in real-time
between 1998 and 2001. Wriiten every morning from 1998 to 2001.
It was for only the sitting US President (Bill Clinton or George W Bush) and
a tiny group of top advisors.
The Declassification (The present action)
The official administrative and legal process of opening classified Government
archives.
The declassification is for historians, journalists and the general public,
especially the victim families of 9/11 who have been persistently demanding
to see the reports.
The declassification action has absolutely nothing to do with what the current
President is being briefed on today/any day. They are two entirely separate
timelines.
The documents were officially declassified and released by CIA Director John
Ratcliffe, operating under a broader executive transparency initiative from
the Trump administration some time ago due to public pressure. He has no axe
to grind in this.
Public demand and the technical process
The technical process of selecting what to release involved a collaborative
review: Senior historians, archive specialists and intelligence declassification
boards (like the Public Interest Declassification Board) reviewed thousands
of pages from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
They isolated 71 specific intelligence briefs that explicitly mentioned Osama
bin Laden, al-Qaeda or planned operations (including the pre-9/11 threats to
India and US cities, others).
Before the CIA uploaded them to the official CIA website, analysts meticulously
blacked out (redacted) specific names of foreign spies and operational methods
that are still sensitive today.
The Declassification Event: A look back at history. The CIA took old, dusty
files from 25 years ago, stamped them "APPROVED FOR PUBLIC RELEASE," and posted
them online.
For over two decades, the families of the victims of the September 11 attacks
waged a relentless legal and public campaign demanding full disclosure from
US intelligence agencies.
In June 2026, a powerful independent Federal advisory body called the Public
Interest Declassification Board (PIDB) stepped in. They sent a formal, urgent
letter directly to President Trump.
They formally reinforced their long-standing recommendation that after 25 years,

Lawmakers from both sides of the political aisle routinely supported the families

Citing these combined factors, the President directed the CIA to execute the
order. CIA Director John Ratcliffe framed the ultimate release on September
11.

process rather than a targeted political move by Trump.
It was a victory for transparency laws and public advocacy.
WHO GOT WHAT: For Putin, the summit marked a symbolic return to global

inching him closer to what some insiders describe as his “obsessive” pursuit
of the Nobel Peace Prize. Whether this ambition compromises national interest
is a question critics are now asking aloud. Ironically, the original Alaska
agenda was left untouched—overshadowed by optics, ambition, and the choreography
of power.)

with national security. It decides to invade and own not the bordering Pakistan
or Bangladesh but Sri Lanka or the Maldives—not across a land border, but across
the sea—because it perceives growing Chinese influence in the ocean as a threat.
Now apply that logic to Russia. Putin wants to annex Ukrainian territory across
the strategic Black Sea—not just for land, but to control the strategic sea
route itself. Same style, a decade ago it annexed Crimea. So he invaded Ukraine
again for more. It is not a war but is an invasion. It’s not just about borders.
It’s about expansion and dominance. Now let the common man take the explanation
forward! Let us not be confused! Ukraine is not at war! There is no war!)
The State will have a two-language formula for the schools—Tamil and English.

Is it possible that the pilot just missed to put the switch to RUN while on the runway and the aircraft, a good one, was running on residual fuel? Which it can do for 20 to 40 seconds. The Air India flight stalled after 32 seconds of passing the Go/NoGo point.

The flight path was not curvy. And the aircraft maintained a steady, gliding descent with its nose straight and the wings perfectly level. Many of the victims were charred beyond recognition, making identification difficult. Three hundred nineteen body parts have been sent for DNA matching with relatives to determine the identities.
