Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Tunisia encounters severe turbulence
A Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Tunis faced a severe turbulence Thursday and landed in another airport safely.
Passengers reported that the plane shook violently during each attempt and felt like it was "plummeting" or free-falling.

encountered severe turbulence and storms during its descent on Thursday, according

After three unsuccessful attempts to land at Tunis-Carthage International Airport,
the aircraft safely diverted and landed at Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport,
about 90 km away. No injuries were reported.
The flight from Istanbul was smooth until it reached Tunisia, where heavy storms
disrupted the landing.
The pilot made three separate attempts to land through the severe weather.
Passengers reported that the plane shook violently during each attempt and felt
like it was "plummeting" or free-falling on the final try.
Video footage shared on social media captured the frightening moments inside
the cabin, with passengers screaming and gripping their seats.
Crew members prioritized safety and diverted the plane to Enfidha-Hammamet
International Airport, where it landed without further incident.
The exact number of passengers on board Flight TK663 has not been publicly
released by Turkish Airlines or local aviation authorities. The flight was operated
on an Airbus A321 aircraft, which typically holds 180 to 220 passengers depending
on the configuration.
